Sunday's Long Lining workshop was successful in many ways. Not only did folks learn some new skills, they kept very warm in the 30 degree weather while walking in back of their horses. We learned how to handle both reins with the whip while keeping our horses moving forward. We practiced driving straight on, lateral yields, circles and changes of direction. By the time we finished up everyone was making smooth figure eights.
It was a great subject to cover and I am sure we will be doing another one!
This was a great workshop. I think longlining is a great way to prepare for driving.
